Playback and listening note: This recording includes frequencies below the threshold of human hearing and are intended to be played back with equipment capable of infrasound vibrations down to 18Hz. Since most headphones and speakers are limited to 40-50 Hz precautions should be taken to avoid damage to equipment. Moderate playback levels with headphones are the best way to listen to this material outside of the installation. Hiss and noises are intentional as artifacts from remote location (unmanned) recording sessions and actual noises (sonic boom over-modulation, wind, electrical interferences at radar sites, etc.) and should be considered signal, not noise.
