| Steven
Rowell is an artist working in Los Angeles and Berlin. Outside
of his solo practice, he has extensive experience in collaborative
multi-disciplinary projects and organizations. He has been
working actively with the Center
for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) since 2000, and more
recently with SIMPARCH and
the Office of Experiments.
Steven works with landscape photography as well as audio and
video recordings captured in the field at project-specific
locations in America and abroad. This field research is used
for interpretive and extrapolative projects about technology
and the un/built environment-- serving to contextualize and
better understand our relationship to, and perception of, the
land. |
